The beginning of wisdom

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For through wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life. If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer.” Proverbs 9:10-12
The fear of God is a deep respect for God.
Wisdom will add to your earthly life and your life in eternity.
We have the responsibility to seek out God’s wisdom or suffer the consequences for rejecting it.
The choices we make are our own, they affect our conduct. Seek out choices through the wisdom of God.
There’s a comparison in Proverbs 9 between the house of the wise woman and the house of the foolish woman. The woman in both houses represents us as Christians, we should rather be seeking good, Godly counsel and wisdom and not deny God and not argue with fools.
Do not be trapped by religion. Be freed by using your God given free will to follow Jesus.
